Solar Energy Centre Denmark is the forum that enables all sides of the industry to meet and cooperate. The Centre brings together representatives for fitters and manufacturers, sales and marketing organisations, and research and development institutions. The Centre also houses the test laboratories and quality assurance programmes for solar thermal and photovoltaic systems.

The Centre's secretariat and day-to-day management are located at the Danish Technological Institute.

The Centre has nationally a second to none position in its field. The origin of the Centre was the Danish Solar Energy Laboratory established in 1981.

Solar Energy Centre Denmark serves as a comprehensive collective platform for Danish solar energy, helping to maximise the effectiveness of Danish know-how and Danish products in the international marketplace.
