National Policy
Short term political goal: 20% reduction in CO2 (1988-2005).
Long term political goal: 50% reduction in CO2 (1988-2030).
Annual national budget for solar energy R&D, certification schemes and promotion: 50 mio. DKK.
Solar energy R&D priority areas are:
- Building integration/architectonic adaption and combined solutions
- Solar energy in business and industry
- Solar energy in the open countryside
- Large-scala solar energy systems and solar energy centrals
- Storage/regulation
- Dessimination and internationalisation
Subsidy scheme:
- Only systems with certified components and installed by certified installers obtain subsidy
- The subsidy depends on the expected output of the system
- Maximum subsidy 30% of the investment
- Typical subsidy: Small systems: 25%, large systems 30%
Certification scheme:
- Test of components (Solar Energy Centre, Solar Energy Laboratory)
- Output estimation based on component tests
- Certification of components (Solar Energy Centre, Section of Certification)
- Certification of installers (Solar Energy Centre, Section of Certification)
