Research and Development

The purpose of R&D is to assimilate the very latest solar cell and active/passive solar energy research into useful and available technology for the environment, industry, and society as a whole. R&D is an untraditional environment working within the realms of international research and product development as a multidisciplinary team.

The centre has developed fundamental expertise and consultancy work in, amongst others, simulation of technical processes, CAD building simulation, material science and technology, process development, product design and PEC solar cells (see also the PEC homepage). The centre has a national leading position in its field.
